Pune: A relationship between the Pawar family is expected to take a new twist as it is learned that Yugendra Pawar, the nephew of Ajit Pawar and president of Baramati Taluka Kustigir Prishad, a taluka-level wrestlers’ federation, has been sacked from his position.

A few media platforms have reported that a meeting of members of Kustigir Parishad has been called recently. In this meeting, this decision has been taken by members. As Yugendra Pawar did not attend the meeting, the members have decided to remove him from the position of president of the wrestling federation.

Meanwhile, when asked about it, Yugendra Pawar informed that he had not been conveyed anything about the decision officially. "I have not received any letter or any formal notice from any officials. However, I also learned that the meeting of members had been called, and some decisions were taken in that meeting," said Yugendra Pawar.

The timing of this decision is also getting significant, as it is said that the decision has been backed by Ajit Pawar, who is upset over his wife's loss in the recently concluded Baramati Lok Sabha election. In the Baramati Lok Sabha election, Ajit Pawar fielded his wife, Sunetra Pawar, against his cousin, Supriya Sule, in which Sunetra Pawar lost the election by a margin of more than 1.5 lakh.

In that election, the entire Pawar family campaigned against Ajit Pawar's wife. At that time, Yugendra Pawar also stood behind his grandfather, Sharad Pawar, against his uncle, Ajit Pawar. Ajit Pawar also rebuked Yugendra Pawar for his premature political ambitions during the campaign; however, Yugendra Pawar campaigned for Supriya Sule.

As the Lok Sabha result did not go in Ajit Pawar's favour, it is learned that he has made this move to take revenge for his wife's loss in the election.
