Symbiosis International Cultural Centre organized International Students Day Celebration on Wednesday, 31st July 2024 at Symbiosis Vishwabhavan Auditorium, Senapati Bapat Road, Pune. Shri. Amitesh Kumar, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Pune was invited as the Chief Guest for the Function. Shri. Baker Balunywa, Education Attache, High Commission of Uganda to India, New Delhi was the Guest of Honour for the Function. Dr. S.B. Mujumdar, Founder and President Symbiosis and Chancellor, Symbiosis International University presided over the function.

Speaking at the occasion Shri. Amitesh Kumar gave valuable advice to the students. He said discipline and a sense of morality are the most important things in life. It is always good to be on the right side of the law. Do not ever get into any type of unethical or illegal activities.

Speaking at the occasion Shri. Baker Balunywa said, Symbiosis is welcoming the International students with open hands and its like a home away from home for the International students. In my 10 years stay in India I have attended functions of many universities but this is the first time I am witnessing a gathering of International students from more than 30 countries here in Symbiosis.

Today was the 90th Birthday of Hon. Dr. S. B. Mujumdar. In his presidential address he said, I have dedicated my birthday to the International Students. Today, what I am is because of you, the International students. International students are the future of this world. You all are going to contribute to the world’s understanding, peace and progress.

Dr. Vidya Yeravdekar, Principal Director, Symbiosis and Pro-Chancellor, Symbiosis International (Deemed University) gave the welcome address and Dr. Ramakrishnan Raman, Vice- Chancellor, Symbiosis International (Deemed University) gave the vote of thanks.
