Pune: In a shocking occurrence in Bavdhan, a trio of individuals attacked a young man, inflicting injuries by striking him with a brick on his head. The altercation arose among them regarding the celebration of a birthday party in Bavdhan. Following the incident, the Hinjewadi police filed a case against the three suspects and apprehended one of them.

This incident took place on Thursday, April 25, at around 11.30 p.m. in Bavdhan. Police have registered a case against three and arrested one. In this regard, Anurag Anand Jha (25), a resident of Jagannath Dham Society, Bavdhan, Taluka Mulshi, registered a police complaint at Hinjewadi Police Station.

According to the police information, the plaintiff's friend, Tejas Jha, had brought a cake to celebrate the plaintiff's birthday on April 25. At that time, the accused, Ganesh Mane, was standing near a pan shop in front of Jackson Bar along with his two other accomplices.

Ganesh objected to Tejas celebrating his friend's birthday and asked him to go from there. When Tejas refused to go, Ganesh abused Tejas and assaulted him with his hands. He further injured Tejas by hitting a brick in his head. Shockingly, after learning about the incident, when the plaintiff went to rescue his friend, the accused and his friends also unleashed a heavy assault on the plaintiff and injured him.

After the incident, the accused and his friend absconded from the scene. After that, the plaintiff filed a police complaint at Hinjewadi Police Station. Accordingly, police booked all the accused under IPC 326, 324, 323, 504, and 34 and arrested the prime accused. Assistant Police Inspector Panchal of Hinjewadi Police Station is conducting further investigation into the case.
