According to the information, on Thursday morning, when the Tehsildar of Indapur was going to Samvidhan Chowk near the Tehsil Office, unknown assailants in a four-wheeler attacked his car. They threw chilli powder in the eyes of the driver of Srikant Patil's car and broke the windows with an iron rod. After the incident, assailants skedaddled from the spot.
After learning about the incident, Baramati police launched an investigation into the case, apprehending attackers within a few hours. He stated that the attack stemmed from anger over the mining operations previously conducted by Tehsildar Srikant Patil against illegal sand miners.
