Triveni' Musical Concert Organised By Rithwik Foundation
Opportunity to enjoy a concert of sitar, sarod, and violin playing
Pune : 'Triveni', a special musical concert by the Rithwik Foundation for Performing Arts, will showcase the rich tradition of Indian classical music through Sitar, Sarod, and Violin.
The program will be held on Saturday, 23rd November 2024 at 5 PM at Rithwik Foundation for Performing Arts, Plot No. 17, behind Ved Bhavan, Kothrud, Pune. The special musical concert 'Triveni' will begin with Neha Mahajan playing the Sitar, and Aniruddh Shankar will accompany her on the Tabla. It will be followed by Sarod by Anupam Joshi and Tabla by Maheshraj Salunkhe. The 'Triveni' concert will conclude with a Violin recital by Pandit Milind Raikar and a Tabla recital by Pandit Vishwanath Shirodkar. The event is open to all, Rashmi Wathare, coordinator of, Rithwik Foundation for Performing Arts, said in a statement.

Neha Mahajan's primary education in Sitar was done by her father and the promoter of the Beenkar family, Vidur Mahajan. Understanding the playing tradition of the Maihar Gharana. Neha has taken guidance from Saswati Saha and has also received playing lessons from Ravi Gadgil of the Senia Gharana. Ustad Junaid Khan, a Sitar player of the Maihar Gharana, has accepted Neha as his disciple.
Anupam Joshi is a well-known Sarod player of the younger generation. Initially, he took sarod lessons from renowned sitar player Pandit Sudhir Phadke, where he was able to understand the rare compositions of Gurumaa Annapurna Devi. He also received guidance from Pandit Tejendra Narayan Majumdar, Pandit Rajiv Taranath, and Ustad Ali Akbar Khan's senior disciple Zuckerman. Anupam Joshi has created the Anumohini Veena, an instrument that goes close to the Rudra Veena and its original concept is by Radhika Mohan Moitra.
Milind Raikar is one of the most renowned violinists of the present generation. Raikar has received guidance from Padma Shri Pandit D.K. Datar and Padma Vibhushan Gaansarvaswati Kishori Amonkar.. Through this, Raikar developed a style of violin playing that was sweet, melodious, and full of emotion. Initially, he learned Western violin techniques from Prof. A.P. D'Costa, a renowned violinist from Goa. Subsequently, under the expert guidance of his father, Achyut Raikar, and Pandit B.S. Math (Dharwad) and Pandit Vasantrao Kadnekar (Goa), Raikar received training in Hindustani classical music on the violin, stated a press release.
