Tragedy Strikes At ITW Company In Dingrajwadi: One Dead, Three Injured In Wall Collapse

Pune: In a tragic incident early this morning, a crumbling parking wall at the ITW company in Dingrajwadi village, Shirur Taluka, collapsed, resulting in the death of one individual and leaving three others seriously injured. The collapse also caused significant damage to several vehicles parked nearby.
The deceased has been identified as Rajiv Kumar, who was from another state. The injured individuals are Manjit Kumar, Bandu Vidhate, Vijay Gaikwad, and Satish Kangude. All three injured workers were promptly admitted to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
Eyewitnesses workers of the company reported that the incident occurred around 8:45 a.m. The parking wall of the ITW company suddenly gave way, trapping several workers underneath. Despite immediate rescue efforts, Rajiv Kumar succumbed to his injuries. The other three workers managed to escape with major injuries and were rushed to the hospital.
In addition to the human toll, the collapse also caused extensive damage to nine two-wheelers, two bicycles, and two four-wheelers parked in the vicinity. The scene was one of chaos and devastation, with damaged vehicles scattered and workers and bystanders trying to assist the injured.
The exact cause of the wall collapse remains unclear. The police are currently conducting an investigation to determine the factors that led to this tragic incident. As part of their inquiry, they have obtained CCTV footage from the company, which shows the wall collapsing in the early morning hours.
Local authorities, including senior police officials, have visited the site to assess the situation and oversee the rescue and investigation efforts.
