The National Flag Is A Symbol Of National Unity, Not A Subject Of Marketing: Gopal Tiwari
By Aryan
Pune: THE Maharashtra State Congress Spokesperson Mr. Gopaldada Tiwari today said that, after a long struggle against the British led by Mahatma Gandhi along with Patel, Nehru, Maulana Azad, Subhash Chandra Bose, Bhagat Singh-Rajguru etc., after the martyrdom of hundreds, 'Post-Independence India' emerged on 15th August 1947 and the existence of 'Republic of India' came into being in the world, this fact cannot be denied. Since 1947, the 'Tricolour Flag' representing India in the world has been a symbol of 'National Unity'.
Gopaldada Tiwari asserted that it is a symbol, not a matter of marketing. He said this, at the conclusion of the '12 Hours Tricolor Flag Holding Activity'.
The initiative "Haat Se Jude Haat Tiranga Ke Saath" organized by the General Secretary of Doctor Cell of Maharashtra Pradesh Congress, Dr. Manisha Garud, launched the activity "Haat Se Jude Haat Tiranga Ke Saath" at Da Baba Saheb Ambedkar Chowk, Pimpri - Chinchwad in the presence of students of Security Guards, Sweepers School, Traffic Police, Ex-Servicemen, National Seva Dal and other citizens. Pimpri Chinchwad Congress president Da Kailas Kadam was also present.
In his concluding speech, Mr Tiwari further said that the tricolor flag is a symbol of bravery, social peace - harmony and security, equality, prosperity and development. The movement of independent, secular and self-reliant India started from 1947 itself.
"Compared to 1947, the country had progressed in 76 years in terms of population, education, literacy, agricultural output, missiles, space research, resources and production capacity and became an economic superpower in 2014. If we consider the contribution of the country's political parties, various religious-political leaders, researchers, scientists, artists and sportspersons in this progress, it is evident that 'unity in diversity is the specialty of India," he said.
"For the freedom fighters who fought with their lives for the freedom of the country, the 'tricolor flag' was and is the symbol of freedom motivation, but how will the self-absessed and arrogant rulers who awarded the "Padmashri" to those who believed that freedom was received through begging and received true freedom in 2014, know this due to lack of education? he asked.
He added that 'the national flag should be honored through constitutional conduct and duty, not by disrespecting the leader of the opposition on the constitutional post, by disregarding the second alternative party and by trampling on democratic values..'
Mr Tiwari said in the "Haat Se Jude Haat Tiranga Ke Saath" initiative, the pride and honor of the country, the 'Tricolor Flag' should not be kept down from sunrise to sunset, the idea was overwhelming that over 2000 citizens of the city participated in it. Citizens passing by on the streets were participating spontaneously. Handicapped and blind people, young students, workers etc. were proudly holding the flag.
