Pune: A tragedy struck on Monday afternoon around 12:30 p.m. at Shindwane Ghat in Taluka Haveli, as an eighteen-year-old youth lost his life in a tempo accident. The victim, identified as Poojan Zubbar Paswan, a resident of Shindwane-Valti Phata, succumbed to his injuries on the spot.

Additionally, three others, including Umesh Zubbar Paswan (21 years old), Dilip Kumar (45 years old), and Zubbar Ramashray Paswan, sustained injuries in the unfortunate incident.

Zabbar Ramashray Paswan, aged 45 and also a resident of Shindwane-Valti Phata, lodged a complaint with the Uruli Kanchan police station following the accident. The complaint resulted in the registration of a case against the tempo driver, identified as Gautam Namdev Memane, a resident of Valti Phata.

According to the account provided by the Uruli Kanchan police, the incident unfolded when Zabbar Paswan, accompanied by his two sons, Umesh and Poojan, along with labourer Dilip Kumar, hired a tempo with registration number MH11 BL 0655 from Jejuri. They were going to Shindwane Ghat, intending to travel through the area around 12:30 on Monday night.

As the tempo was paasing through the crowded roads, it lost control, leading to a reversal in direction. The sudden turn of events resulted in the tempo overturning, causing minor injuries to Zabbar Paswan, Umesh, and Dilip Kumar. Tragically, Poojan Paswan suffered fatal injuries in the accident, ultimately losing his life.

The Uruli Kanchan Police are conducting further investigation into the incident.
