Symbiosis Organizes “Sym- Emerge 2025” An International Conference
Pune:- Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Pune organized Sym-Emerge 2025, an International Conference of the Faculty of Management, Symbiosis International University.
Mr. Derek O’Brien, Member of Parliament, was invited as the Chief Guest and Smt. Vandana Chavan former Mayor and Member of Parliament was invited as the Guest of Honour for the Inaugural Ceremony of the conference. Dr. S. B. Mujumdar, Chancellor, Symbiosis International University presided over the function.
Mr. Derek O’ Brien spoke about the Indian management thought process and indicated that women in India had voting rights much before the other countries. He acknowledged the important role played by Symbiosis in the field of higher education. He also mentioned Dr Mujumdar as a Global Education Icon and expressed to see him nominated to the Rajya Sabha.
Ms. Vandana Chavan spoke about the importance of sustainability and the impact of climate change. She also advocated the need for more green ambassadors to create awareness on this critical issue.
An MoU was signed between Symbiosis International University and George Mason University ( GMU ), USA on the day, by Dr. Vidya Yeravdekar, Pro Chancellor, SIU and Dr Ajay Vinze, Dean, GMU.
The Conference had a Pre-Conference Research workshop by the eminent scholars from George Mason University ( GMU ), USA , USCI University, Malaysia. George Mason University – Costello College of Business was the academic partner for this conference.
Eminent scholars from GMU, Aston University, UK and USCI University, Malaysia participated in the Conference.
Dr. Shrirang Altekar, Director, SIBM Pune, gave the opening remarks. Dr. Vidya Yeravdekar, Pro Chancellor, SIU gave the welcome address and Dr. R. Raman, Vice Chancellor, SIU, delivered the vote of thanks, stated a press release.
