Sunetra Pawar Visits Shivshrushti
Pune, 30th March 2024: I feel blessed to have had the chance to visit Shivshrushti on Shivjayanti. The pious aura made me feel like I was taken back into the 17th century said Sunetra Pawar, during her visit to Shivshrushti on Shivjayanti. Shivsrushti is a mega historical theme park based on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, conceptualized by Late Padma Vibhushan Shivshahir Babasaheb Purandare and developed by the Maharaja Shivchhatrapati Pratishthan.
Shivshrushti trustees Jagdish Kadam, Vineet Kuber, Sunil Mutalik, Former MP Pradeep Rawat, Administrator Anil Pawar, Rupali Chakankar Pradeep Garatkar, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh's Dhananjay Kale, Manoj Pochat, Satyajit Kadam, Sudhir Thorat, Ex-Sarpanch of Ambegaon Budruk Santosh Tate, Deputy Sarpanch Nana Kandhare, former corporator Yuvraj Beldare and other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
Sunetra Pawar was honoured by the trustees of Shivshrushti. Speaking on the occasion, she said, “For Padmavibhushan Babasaheb Purandare the realization of Shivashrushti was his life’s mission. I am confident that this international standard theme park will present the history of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj to the future generations.”
Adding further she said, “This year marks the 350th year of the coronation of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj who went on to establish ‘Swarajya’ and introduced the concept of people welfare in his kingdom. Maharaj taught us to take care of every element of the society and in today’s world, the concept of Mahayuti is based on these thoughts as it is committed to the overall development of the people.”
The event was introduced by Jagdish Kadam who said that the second phase of Shivashrushti was set to be inaugurated on 6th June to mark the 350th year of Maharaj’s coronation. He also shared that an investment of Rs 438 crore was expected in this project which will be implemented in five phases covering an area of around 21 acres.
