Solapur's Vrinda Bodhdule And Swara Ganer Duo Selected For International Aerobics Competition
Pune: Vrinda Bodhdule and Swara Ganer from Solapur have made Maharashtra proud by winning a gold medal in the Fitness Aerobics category at the 19th National Aerobics Championship. This achievement has also contributed significantly to Maharashtra winning the overall championship title.
The 19th National Aerobics Championship was held from November 29 to December 1 at Silver Oaks, Shirdi. A total of 856 athletes from 19 states participated in the event. The championship included various categories such as Sports Aerobics, Fitness Aerobics, Step Aerobics, and Hip-Hop Group.
Maharashtra won the overall championship title, while Karnataka secured the second position, and Telangana came third. Vrinda Bodhdule and Swara Ganer have been selected to represent India at the International Fitness Aerobics Championship 2024, scheduled to take place in Moscow, Russia, from December 12 to 18.
The duo has been trained by Dr. Mohini More, an international judge who has made Maharashtra proud in several championships. District Sports Officer Narendra Pawar praised Dr. More's efforts and said that Vrinda and Swara are carrying forward her legacy, stated a press release.
