13 seats go to  polls tomorrow  in Maharashtra.

Pune: WITH campaigning for Lok Sabha elections coming to an end in Maharashtra, the voting process will conclude in the state tomorrow when citizens will vote in 13 constituencies.

There are as many as 264 candidates in fray for 13 seats, which includes 6 from Mumbai. With tomorrow's voting, the five phase election gets over in Maharashtra. The country will however have seven phase election till June 1. The counting will take place for the entire country on June 4.

In all, there are 2.46 crore voters in these 13 seats. Other than 6 seats of Mumbai, Nashik, Dindori, Dhule, Palghar, Bhiwandi, Kalyan and Thane are also going to polls tomorrow.

In Maharashtra, the two key contestants are BJP led Mahayuti and Congress led Maha Vikas Aghadi. In last two general elections, the BJP has emerged as the largest party. However, observers believe that this time, other parties will also do better unlike in the last two elections.

Meanwhile, the Election Commission of India has said in the last five phase election, it has so far confiscated cash, drugs and other material worth Rs 8,889 crore. ''This figure will soon cross the Rs 9000 crore mark,'' the EC has said. ''Of the seized material during the election campaigning, 45 per cent was drugs,'' the EC has added
