Pune, April 30, 2024: After the open split in the Nationalist Congress Party, when many leaders are leaving the side of Sharad Pawar and aligning with Ajit Pawar, the grandson of Sharad Pawar and MLA of Karjat-Jamkhed assembly constituency, Rohit Pawar, is single-handedly taking the opponents head-on.
Yesterday, while speaking to activists and people in Katewadi, the hometown of the Pawar family, he made serious allegations against the current state government and said that after the Lok Sabha elections, the state government would try to implicate him like the central government has done with Arvind Kejriwal. He said, "They will make the Arvind Kejriwal of me."
Yesterday, he was speaking in Katewadi on the occasion of Mahavikas Aghadi's candidate MP Supriya Sule's campaign.
He said, "If I had gone with them, I would have become minister at such a young age. Also, if I had gone with them, ED actions would not have been taken against me. But I remained loyal to Pawar Saheb's thinking. I do not compromise on my thoughts and my morals."
He attacked Ajit Pawar and the opposition, who are threatening the people in Baramati. He said, "The party workers of the Malida Gang of the opposition say that if the polling booth in this village goes to Supriya Tai, we will look at you. But I tell you, they cannot do anything. They again have to come to you for the Legislative Assembly elections within the next six months after the Lok Sabha polls."
He appealed to people to stand behind the same idea and thought to which they have been loyal for the past sixty years. He said the time has come to take revenge on those who are breaking up our family.
"Some people claim that they bring funds to Baramati. But they often forget that Pawar Saheb made them so able to bring those funds into the constituency. Some people got the positions and ministries, but they are forgetting who gave them all this," he added.
On this occasion, Praveen Gaikwad of the Sambhaji Brigade, along with office bearers and NCP Sharad Chandra Pawar party workers, were present.
