Pune: The Maharashtra government has taken initiative to provide employment opportunities for women in Pune. The state government has launched a subsidy scheme to assist women purchase Gulabi e-Rickshaws (pink rickshaws) for better transportation facilities.

This initiative aims to provide 2,800 e-rickshaws to women in Pune city through the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC).

For more information on the Gulabi e-Rickshaw scheme and to apply, women can visit the Social Development Department's office at the PMC headquarters or the regional offices, reported  Pune Mirror.
