Pune: "Pune Book Fair" an annual event of Pune City, is the largest book and education fair in Western India. The 22 nd  exhibition cum sales celebration in this series will be held from Wednesday 16th to Sunday 20 th October 2024  at Ganesh Kala Krida Manch, Swargate, Pune. This motto of the Book Fair is "Towards a Knowledge Society".

Prominent booksellers/distributors of the country, publishing houses, educational institutions, publications of the Government of India and Government of Maharashtra are some of the participants amongst many.

Poetic and prose reading materials from, recreational readers, learners, teaching and training resources, books, journals, periodicals on various subjects such as information technologies, health management, businesses, laws, religions, politics, public arts, professions, humanitarian,  folk tales in English, Hindi, Marathi, Urdu, Sanskrit, and foreign languages. Books, newspapers, weekly, magazines and reference manuals, dictionaries will be available under one roof. Options are open for all types of participations relevant to workers and patrons of books and knowledge developments.

Special arrangements are always maintained to encourage budding or specialist publishers and sellers. In order for the contributing participants to support small publishers and booksellers, an enterprise section consisting of Author Corner, Catalogue Display Counter Stand is normally provided at the show. Leading Newspapers and independent reporters in the region not only cover the Book Fair, but several also put up display stall to highlight their special and regional editions.

Maharashtra Sahitya Parishad, like every year will be present at the Pune Book Fair 2024  for special panel events such as'Authors Meet (in English)', 'LekhakAaplyaBhetila (in Marathi)', 'Kavi Sammelan' of invited poets, Child and Young Reader Friendly Materials facilitations and discussions are also part of this year’s participant focus.

This exhibition is organized in co-sponsorship collaboration with Maharashtra Sahitya Parishad,), Shikshan Mandal Pune Mahanagar Palika / Municipal Corporation, Maharashtra University and College Libraries Association (MUCLA), All India Radio , Maharashtra State Education Department and Professional Teachers Association.

This 22nd  Pune Book Fair will also feature lectures, panel discussions, seminars, professional meetings and presentations by various participants to showcase various book works and makers, whilst celebrating our inter humanitarian linguistic heritages and diversities.From Wednesday 16th to Sunday 20 th October 2024, the Pune Book Fair at Ganesh Kala Krida Manch will be open to all from 11 am to 8 pm.
