Pune: IAS probationer Puja Khedkar's cup of woes are overflowing. Already facing a probe by the central government, Ms Khedkar now seems to be in all sorts of trouble.

In the latest development, the Pune police have confiscated her Audi car which she had used to come to the Pune district collectorate when she was posted there.

The police while seizing the Audi said Puja Khedkar has failed to provide proper documents of the vehile regarding its ownership and registration.

The Pune police had found out from the Regional Transport Office that it was registered in name of a private engineering company. The vehicle owner owes Rs 27,000 by way of compounding charges for various traffic violations.

The Audi has come into the spot as it was used by Puja Khedkar who had installed a red beacon light on top of it. The red light is reserved for cars of top government officials. However, Ms Khedkar used it on top of a private vehicle for which she is facing charges for violation of norms.

Puja Khedkar shot into limelight following a complaint made by Pune District Collector Suhas Diwase to State Chief Secretary, regarding the wayward behaviour of the IAS probationer. He had alleged that Ms Khedkar was not alloted a government car but was using a private car with red light atop it. Besides, she had grabbed an ante-chamber of an officer in his absence. Following the complaints, Puja Khedkar was transferred to Washim District Collectorate.

After the collectorate complaint, she was transferred to Washim. Despite repeated attempts, she refused to comment to the media.

After she was transferred, AAP working president Vijay Kumbhar alleged that her father had filed an election affidavit in which he has shown his total wealth as Rs 42 crore. ''How come then she managed to get a non-creamy layer certificate in OBC category,'' he asked.

Also, it has come to light that she had approached the Central Administration Tribunal, complaining that she was denied benefits of the Disability Act. CAT had dismissed her application while stating that her plea had no substance. It also has come to light that she was asked to appear for a medical test at AIIMS six times, but she gave one excuse too many and failed to appear.
