Pune: CONTROVERSIAL IAS probationer Puja Khedkar has been hitting headline for more than a week now. Today, she was again in the news.

Ms Khedkar, who had hot disability certificate from Ahmednagar civil hospital, had also received disability certificate from PCMC run-YCM hospital in 2022. This information hascome to light today. The hospital is located in Pimpri.

The YCMH administration revealed hat Khedkar had been issued a disability certificate. 

 "The disability certificate that we issued shows her disability up to seven percent," said YCMH dean Dr Rajendra Wable.

Dr Wable said het disability is related loco motor means some problem with the knee joint.  

"The certifocate is an appropriate one. The disability is up to seven per cent. We have not issued certificate for lesser or more disability,'' Dr Wable said.

Dr Wable said,''Unless a person has 40 per cent disability as per the benchmark disability law, they cannot be extended the benefit of employment or in education sector.''

Dr Wable said,''Though she cannot benefitted from the seven per cent disability, the issue is whether she has taken such certificates from other hospitals as. "

The YCMH doctors said Ms Khedkar has received a disability certificate from Ahmednagar government hospital. "Similarly, she cannot get it from Aundh civil hospital. This is because one YCM hospital issues the certificate, the application at Aundh hospital becomes auto-cancelled.''
