Pune, April 30, 2024:Though the two candidates for the Shirur Lok Sabha constituency have often been seen criticising each other, yesterday, Shirur Lok Sabha constituency witnessed rare glimpses where both rivals, Shivajirao Adhalrao Patil, who is contesting from the Mahayuti side, and Dr. Amol Kolhe, who is a candidate from Mahavikas Aghadi, shared a stage for the occasion of Harinam Saptah.
Surprisingly, at this time, both leaders again showed the example of political modesty, where Dr. Amol Kolhe touched the feet of Adhalrao, and Adhalrao also listened to the complete speech of Dr. Amol Kolhe. These political gestures by both leaders won the hearts of many people in the constituency.
Before that, two leaders came face-to-face on the occasion of Shivjayanti. At that time too, both leaders maintained political decency and showed their political maturity by greeting each other cordially at social events and not unnecessarily making those events a political one.
Yesterday, both people came together on the occasion of Harinam Saptah in Wada village in Khed. When Dr. Kolhe arrived for Harinam, Adhalrao Patil was speaking. As soon as his speech was over, Dr. Kolhe touched the feet of Adhalrao and interacted with him.
While addressing people at this time, Amol Kolhe said in his speech, "Elections come and go. Posts come and go, but humanity is important, and for that, we should keep our speech, our behaviour, and our purpose pure." He further appealed to people to keep the self-respect of Maharashtra in front of their eyes and then go for voting.
He attacked the central government on the issues of inflation and unemployment. He said, "When Modiji came to power, the price of a gas cylinder was Rs 450. At that time, Modi asked women to bow down before the gas cylinder and then go for voting. Now the price has gone beyond 1000 rupees. So you must bow down before cylinders three times before going for voting."
Kolhe added, "When the country becomes safe, the religion becomes safe, and the road to God passes through the safe country." Amol Kolhe said that from the country's perspective, this election is important as it will decide who we want to run this country for the next five years. Therefore, people must vote carefully.
After Amol Kolhe's speech ended, Adhalrao proceeded with his next planned tour, while Amol Kolhe took the initiative to distribute meals to the devotees who attended Harinam Saptah.
