Pune: It has been seven days that a family from Pimple Nilakh is awaiting information about their son who is working in the United States.

Siddhanth Patil (26) has gone missing from July 6 after he went to Glacier National Park for a trip with some of his Indian friends.

He was standing close to the river when he apparently slipped and fell into the river.

His friends who panicked reached out to the rangers who carried out search for Siddhanth but could not succeed.

Siddhath's family is refusing to believe that he is no more. They are hoping that he will be found alive.

His uncle Pritesh Chaudhari has told local media that they were fully hopeful that Siddhanth would be found hale and hearty. Chaudhari said the family was getting no information or updates either from the India embassy or the US Government. ''We have no clue what is happening...,'' he said.

Siddhanth had spoke to his wife when he had spent three days at the National Park. He had told her that he would soon be returning to home in US. He worked with Cadence Design Systems.

Siddhanth had gone to US in 2020 to do his MS from University of California. Subsequently, he got a job in the US. He is unmarried and lived in San Jose. He is a alumni of BITS Pilani.
