Pune: A shocking incident took place in the Pune District Court metro station, where one person died after falling from the stairs. The reason behind his death has not been known yet. However, police are investigating further into it.

The deceased individual has been identified as Manoj Kumar. Yesterday, he was walking down the stairs of the Pune District Court railway station at 6.30 p.m. At that time, the individual had collapsed on the stairs.

The alerted citizens and the railway security personnel promptly rushed him to the station's emergency medical room. Doctors and nurses in the emergency medical room gave first aid to the passenger. Seeing his serious condition, he was thereafter shifted to a nearby hospital for further treatment. However, doctors declared him dead upon his arrival.

The Maha Metro officials informed the Shivajinagar Police Station about the incident, who promptly sent his dead body to Sassoon Hospital for a post-mortem. The reason behind the passenger's death has not been known yet. The police said that the autopsy report will reveal the exact reason behind the passenger's death. Furthermore, the report will further reveal whether the passenger had any diseases.

The Shivajinagar police have recovered the CCTV footage of the metro station for the investigation. The brother of the deceased individual was informed about the incident.
