Pune: A day after he threw the rule book at his uncle Sharad Pawar, Ajit Pawar is the District Guardian Minister of Pune denied that he had ''insulted'' his uncle at District Planning and Development Committee meeting.
At the DPDC meeting on Saturday, Ajit Pawar said something which probably hurt Sharad Pawar so much so that he didnt speak for next two hours at the meeting.
''Sharad Pawar is like a diety for me. I can never imagining insultin him. Some people (Supriya Sule) are trying to set a wronf narrative that Sharad Pawar has been insulted,'' Ajit Pawar said at a party rally in Pimpri-Chinchwad today.
At the DPDC meeting where he presided over as the District Guardian Minister, Sharad Pawar asked two questions. When he started asking third question, Ajit Pawar he as an invitee had no right to raise questions. Sharad Pawar probably taken aback by rude remarks from nephew then kept mum for next two hours even as the meeting.
Ajit Pawar questioning Sharad Pawar's authority to speak at DPDC angered daughter and Baramati MP Supriya Sule.
Sule told a national daily that Sharad Pawar got up from his chair as per the protocol when Ajit Pawar arrived for the meeting but the Guardian Minister did not show any such courtesy.
