Pune: Indian Institute for Social Development and Research Rashtrapita Mahatma Gandhi Mahavidyalaya At Post Khed Dist:Ahilyanagar, Organizes Multidisciplinary International Conference on 'Environmental Justice: Social,Political,Economic, Cultural Issues in South Asia', In collaboration with Maharashtra Gandhi Smarak Nidhi Kothrud,Pune,Maharashtra Bhugol shastra Parishad, Global Foundation and Pangaea Geographical Association.Conference will held in collaboration with professional, academic and social organizations on 19th Jan 2025 at Gandhibhavan(Kothrud, Pune).

The conference will be inaugurated by Professor Dr. Munther Moh’d Ibrahim from Al-Quds University, Palestine and the Guest of Honor will be Vice Chancellor Professor Prakash Mahanawar from Punyashlok Ahilyabai Holkar Solapur University. The Keynote speaker for the conference will be Vice Chancellor Professor Rquib Ahmed from Fareast University, Dhaka, Bangladesh. Invited lectures will be delivered by the knowledgeable persons viz. Professor Dr. Amarsinghe, Kelaniya University, Sri Lanka, Kalpanatai Salunke, Panipanchayat, Professor Dr. Nadaf, Director, Higher Education, Goa, Dr. Hemant Belsare, IIT Bombay, etc. The conference will start at 10 am. on 19th Jan. About 150 research papers by young scholars from Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, India will be presented in three parallel sessions. The conference is open for common public too.

The Conference aims at bringing together academicians, industries, activists and common people for brainstorming deliberations and positive interaction to understand the issues threatening environmental justice. The environmental issues are mainly associated with world polity, national economies, dominance of a system supporting concentration of wealth and creating disparities.
