Pune: In yet another twist in the Porshe fatal crash case, the Pune Police have arrested the mother of the 17 year old boy who had been remanded to an observation home.

The mother of the boy has been arrested for allegedly giving her blood to swap with his blood sample taken at the Sassoon hospital. The mother was on the run fearing arrest, police sources said.

Two Sassoon doctors have already been arrested in the case.

With the mother's arrest, it is probably for the first time in the history of Pune that a boy, his father, his mother and grandfather have been arrested.

The family deals in real estate and is well connected politically

Besides the arrest of the four members of the family, in this two doctors, a Class 4 employee of Sassoon have also been arrested. This means, so far 7 persons have been arrested. Other than this, two police personnel have also been suspended for not alerting the police control room about the incident.

MLA Sunil Tingare who allegedly tried to influence the case has also found himself in the eye of a storm.

District Guardian Minister Ajit Pawar who remained away from Pune for 6 days after the incident has also come under fire.

Pune Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar has been single-handled battling all the media scrutiny and political allegations.

MLA Ravindra Dhangekar and Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sushma Andhare have made serious allegations against the police, the excise department and the PMC.

The Excise Department has also already taken action against several pubs for violating rules. For the first, the Excise department has also found itself under the scanner.
