Married Couple From Baramati Murdered Over Financial Dispute

Pune: Near Khatri-Pawar Estate on Jamadar Road in Baramati, a married couple was brutally murdered by youth.
After getting information about the incident, Baramati city police promptly apprehended the accused individual and took him into custody.
The murdered individuals have been identified as Sachin Mahaling Wagholikar (44) and Sarika Sachin Wagholikar. Both were residents of Khatri-Pawar Estate on Jamadar Road in Baramati.
As per the primary information, the accused murdered the young couple due to financial disputes between them. The deceased Sachin Wagholikar had a construction business and has been living with his two sons and wife on Jamadar Road in Baramati.
Sachin Wagholikar had taken a loan of Rs 20 lakh from the accused, who does the business of online trading. In spite of the accused's constant demand for loan recovery, Sachin was giving frivolous reasons and was not making payment to him. Over this issue, both had several altercations in the past.
Fed up with Sachin's unnecessary delay in making payment, the accused decided to kill him. Accordingly, on April 13, the accused intruded into Sachin's house and killed Sachin Wagholikar and his wife, Sarika Wagholikar, police said.
Upon receiving information about the incident, Sub Divisional Police Officer Sudarshan Rathod and Police Inspector Santosh Gholve immediately rushed to the spot and apprehended the accused individual.
Sachin and his wife are survived by two sons who were not at the spot when the incident took place.
Meanwhile, the accused also received some injuries during the altercation, and he has been admitted to the nearby hospital for further treatment.
District Superintendent of Police Pankaj Deshmukh and Additional Superintendent of Police Sanjay Jadhav visited the spot personally after the incident and reviewed the situation.
