Pune: In a significant eviction drive conducted on May 25, 2024, the D Regional Office targeted unauthorised establishments, including the Rooftop Spice Factory, Absolute Barbeque, and the 9th Floor Public Hotel located next to Bhujbal Chowk Madhuban Hotel in Ward No. 25, Mauje Wakad. Approximately 9,000 square feet of unauthorised structures were demolished during the operation.

This action was carried out under the directive of Hon'ble Municipal Commissioner Shekhar Singh, with guidance from Hon'ble Deputy Commissioner Mr. Lonkar. The operation was supervised by Dr. Ankush Jadhav, Field Officer of 'D' Ward, along with Executive Engineer Bhagwani, Deputy Engineer Vijay Bhojane, Junior Engineer Amol Padalwar, Bit Inspector Subhas Bhagat, Omkar Tate Deshmukh, Sheshrao Atkure, Junior Engineer, Zonal Encroachment Team Chief Amol Shinde, 13 Maharashtra Security Force Jawans, Police Sub-Inspector Mr. Anthony, police officers, labourers, and other municipal employees.

The operation aims to enforce regulations and clear unauthorised construction, with plans to continue the action tomorrow.
