Maharashtra Assembly Elections: Ajit Pawar’s Strategic Masterstroke Strengthens NCP’s Position
Big Victory for Ajit Pawar: Shiv Sena-Shinde Candidates from Anushakti Nagar and Dindori Withdraw Their Candidature
Pune: In a major victory to Ajit Pawar’s NCP, two candidates of the Shiv Sena-Shinde faction have withdrawn their candidature for the assembly polls. Avinash Haibat Rane from Anushakti Nagar assembly constituency and Dhanraj Haribhau Mahale from Dindori assembly constituency today pulled out of polls.
In Dindori, NCP has nominated Zirwal Narhari Sitaram, the sitting MLA from Dindori assembly constituency and Deputy Speaker in Maharashtra Vidhan Sabha as its candidate. In Anushakti Nagar, the party has given ticket to Sana Malik, the daughter of senior leader Nawab Malik who has represented the constituency for five terms.
This is being seen as a great boost for the NCP and Mahayuti ahead of voting for Maharashtra Assembly polls. Ajit Pawar played a crucial role in securing the withdrawal of the two candidates to further cement the Mahayuti’s poll prospects. This strategic play underscores Ajit Pawar’s influence and deft handling of political negotiations, showcasing his ability to reinforce party strength and maintain unity within allied forces.
