Pune, September 7, 2024: In a shocking incident, an intoxicated truck driver crashed his container into a hotel after being denied dinner, causing significant damage to vehicles outside the establishment and hotel. The incident occurred in Hingangaon village, Indapur Taluka, and the video footage of the event has quickly gone viral on social media.

What Happened?

The truck driver, who was passing through the Pune-Solapur highway, stopped at Hotel Gokul in Hingangaon village during the night for dinner. The driver, operating a container truck (MH 12 RN 4359), approached the hotel for a meal. However, the hotel owner informed him that the restaurant was closed and dinner was no longer being served. Enraged by the refusal, the driver returned to his truck and deliberately drove it into the vehicles parked outside the hotel, including a scooter and two cars.

In a further act of aggression, the driver rammed his container into the hotel itself, causing extensive damage to the establishment and the vehicles. Fortunately, no casualties were reported in the incident.

Local people quickly intervened, stopping the driver and preventing further damage. Bystanders, who had recorded the incident on their phones, handed the driver over to the police after he was detained by locals. Videos of this incident have since circulated widely on social media.

The authorities have detained the accused, and further investigation is continuing in the given incident.
