Pune: Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) National President and Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar's Jan Sanman Yatra today reached Majalgaon and Parli assembly constituencies in Beed district. The mass outreach programme started with a massive bike rally. NCP State President Sunil Tatkare, Agriculture Minister Dhanjay Munde, who is also an MLA from Parli assembly constituency and Majalgaon MLA Prakash Solanke accompanied the Deputy CM.

Addressing a massive gathering at Mangalnath Maidan, Majalgaon, Ajit Pawar said “I pray that Mahayuti gets the opportunity to serve this region.” Talking about the development initiatives in the region, he informed that construction of a 50-bed sub-district hospital is underway. The Partur-Majalgaon road project is in its final phase and will be completed soon. The government is also working to transform Dharur Fort and Bindusara Lake to boost tourism, which will create local employment and support small businesses. He also said that the government is working to resolve the drought situation in this region.

Ban on onion exports has been a concern for the farmers in the state. Ajit Pawar informed, “we have resolved the issue of onion farmers by removing the Minimum Export Price (MEP)”. Deputy CM also announced that the sugar factories will begin operations after November 15th. Talking about the Mahayuti government’s initiatives for the sugarcane farmers, he informed that the Gopinath Munde Ustod Kamgar Kalyan Mahamandal is working for the welfare of sugarcane workers. At the Krishibhushan Awards event, Rs 2,398 crores were distributed to 49 lakh cotton and soybean farmers, with 10% of the amount going to account holders in Beed district.

Talking about the seats-sharing arrangement with the Mahayuti alliance partners he said “seat-sharing hasn’t been finalized yet, but don’t worry, our constituency will remain with us’. Regarding the number of seats NCP-AP will get in the Mahayuti alliance, I’ve decided to allocate 10% of the seats to minorities, he added. 

He also announced the government has announced a significant increase in the allowances for Home guards across the state, benefiting around 40,000 personnel. The daily wage, which was Rs 570, will now be increased to Rs 1,080. On the Maratha reservation issue, he said “we are actively working on the Maratha reservation issue to ensure justice for everyone. Our efforts are focused on uplifting everyone.”

Speaking in Parli, his home constituency, Dhananjaya Munde thanked Ajit Pawar for giving him the opportunity to serve as the minister, he said “Ajit Dada was the only one who believed in my potential to make a difference for the people, when no one else did.” He also expressed his confidence in winning all the six constituencies in the Beed district in the upcoming elections. Sunil Tatkare appreciated Dhananjay Munde’s contributions to the agricultural sector in his current role as Agriculture Minister. 

Ajit Pawar appealed to voters to help the NCP and Mahayuti in the upcoming assembly elections. Appealing to the voters to support them in the elections he said “we have the potential to attract significant funding to Maharashtra, similar to what Chandrababu Naidu and Nitish Kumar have achieved.”
