Pune: Nationalist Congress Party National President and Maharashtra Deputy CM Ajit Pawar's Jan Sanman Yatra today reached Tumsar assembly constituency in Bhandara district where the mass outreach programme received overwhelming response from people of the region. Flanked by party Working President Praful Patel, Mr. Ajit Pawar addressed a large gathering in the area and highlighted the development works done in the region. "In the last 3 years we have allocated nearly ₹3,000 crores for the development of this region. If you support us in the upcoming assembly elections, I will ensure ₹5,000 crores over the next 5 years", said the Deputy CM. He added ₹225 crores have been provided for construction of roads under the Mukhyamantri Gram Sadak Yojana in the area along with setting up a 200-bed sub-district hospital in Tumsar and development of sports complex. 

Mr. Ajit Pawar reiterated that 44 lakh farmers will get zero electricity bills in the next 10 days before the model code of conduct is enforced. "We are offering ₹20,000 per hectare compensation for paddy farmers, which will be increased if we are voted back to power” added the Deputy CM. He also said that we are developing an ambitious water tourism project in the backwaters of the Gosikhurd dam which will significantly boost Bhandara's development, turning it into a tourist destination and creating jobs. The NCP President also informed that a reconciliation agreement of ₹101 crores has been signed for the first phase of the Gosikhurd project. He urged people to vote for NCP and Mahayuti candidates. He said "if we win, we will allocate more funds for your development".

Addressing the gathering, Mr. Praful Patel said, if anyone can save the Constitution it is Ajit Pawar. He asserted that NCP is a party for everyone and no one else has the capability to work for the people of this region. He also asked people not to be misled by those who promote social division and disrupt harmony. Talking about Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana, Mr. Patel said around 2.25 crore women have already benefited from the scheme. Talking about Mahayuti government’s initiatives for farmers, he also said the goal is to achieve 100% irrigation in this region.
