Pune: In a shocking incident highlighting civic neglect, a truck and a couple two-wheelers plunged into a massive sinkhole in the parking area of the City Post Office at Samadhan Chowk of the Budhwar Peth area in Pune city on Friday. A big crowd turned out in the area and flayed the civic functioning.

The Pune police said the control room of the Pune Fire Brigade received a distress call about the incident at 4 pm on Friday.

In a jiffy, the fire brigade team rushed to the spot and got into the act. The driver and the cleaner quickly jumped out of the truck as it slipped into the manhole from where a nullah was passing.
