Pune-Solapur Highway Crash: Water Tanker And Ertiga Collide, Six Sustained Injuries

Pune: A major accident involving a water tanker and an Ertiga car took place on the Pune-Solapur highway today. In this accident, six people have been injured. The accident took place on Tuesday, May 28, at Khadki in Daund taluka around noon.
According to the primary information, a water tanker was giving water to the trees in the divider at Khadki in Daund taluka, near the Laxminaran Mangal office. At that time, a speeding Ertiga car (MH 14 LB 7071) en route from Solapur towards Pune hit the tanker hard from behind. In this collision, the front part of the Ertiga has been smashed.
The impact of this collision was so severe that six people who were travelling in the car received severe injuries. So far, the names of the injured individuals have not yet been ascertained. The injured individuals were immediately admitted to a private hospital in Bhigwan in Indapur taluka for emergency treatment.
After the accident, local citizens informed the highway police and the ambulance about the accident. The citizen informed that the accident happened because the tanker driver did not put on reflectors. As per the rules, it is necessary for the tanker driver to switch on reflectors while watering the plants in the bifurcation.
