Pune: In Pune city (Not in Pimpri-Chinchwad), transgenders who harass citizens at taffic junctions are in trouble. The police are going to take action against them.

The Pune City Police Commissionerate has issued probibitory orders under Section 144 of the CrPC against transgers. 

The order prohibits the transgenders from moving around the city and visiting places for ceremonies and various rituals. 

The order specifically prohibits from crowding traffic signals or junctions and demanding money from two-wheeler riders and car drivers.

The Pune police said the order will be in force for one month from Friday that is from April 12.

The Pune police said the order has been issued following complaints from citizens that transgenders were harrassing and trying extort money from citizens on the streets.
