Pune Gramin Team Wins Title Of The Primary School Football League
Pune: The Pune Gramin team won the Primary School Maharashtra League 2024, a school football tournament organized by Diamond Parks at Lohegaon. The Pune City team secured second place, while the Nashik and Pimpri-Chinchwad teams jointly secured third place. The tournament was conducted in collaboration with the Primary Schools Indigenous Sports Association of Maharashtra and the Anjaneya Sathe Group.
Diamond Parks, an ISO 9001:2015 certified leading entertainment destination in Pune and a recipient of the Eldrok and EGN India awards, proudly supported the Primary School Maharashtra League, recently held at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Boys Military School & College, Phulgaon, Pune. The Primary Schools Indigenous Sports Association of Maharashtra organized the league in collaboration with Athletes in Action and was supported by the Anjaneya Sathe Group.
The league aims to provide a competitive platform for young athletes from various regions of Maharashtra, fostering grassroots sports development. In line with Diamond Parks' commitment to empowering youth through sports, the league witnessed enthusiastic participation. The Pune Gramin team secured first place, the Pune City team came in second, and the Nashik and Pimpri-Chinchwad teams jointly claimed third place.
Mr. Arjun Indulkar, President of the Primary Schools Indigenous Sports Federation of India and Managing Director of Diamond Parks, inaugurated the event, referred to as Children’s Special Week by Diamond Parks. Other prominent attendees included Mr. Anjaneya Sathe, President of the Primary School Indigenous Sports Association of Maharashtra; Mr. Deepak Arde, Organizing Director of the Primary School Maharashtra League 2024; and Dr. Wilson Andrews, Secretary of the Primary Schools Indigenous Sports Federation of India. A total of nine teams from Nagpur, Parbhani, Buldhana, Jalgaon, Nashik, and the Pune region made a remarkable showing in the league, stated a press release .
