Pune : For India to be a developed nation by 2047, the progress of every element of our society is necessary, stated Governor of Maharashtra, C. P. Radhakrishnan during the inauguration of special department set up for providing finance to micro & small entrepreneurs at ‘Sahakar Sabhagruha' of Cosmos Bank, stated a press release.

In his speech, C. P. Radhakrishnan further said that although our country has different languages, castes and creed, we are all bound together by religion, culture and heritage, which is the greatness of our country. It is necessary to provide healthcare, housing and food to the last person in the country. Everyone needs to work towards achieving this. To increase the speed of progress, it is essential to provide loans to small entrepreneurs. Banks should nurture and financially support small enterprises through personalized services, work culture and confidence. Small borrowers are very particular in repayment of their loans, hence the NPA percentage in the microfinance sector is very low. He added that this initiative of Cosmos Bank is highly commendable & the Bank has great tradition. Contribution of each staff, constant hard work and sincere customer service is the legacy of Cosmos Bank.

On this occasion, Cosmos Bank’s Chairman, CA Milind Kale stated that considering the financial needs of small entrepreneurs, Cosmos Bank has started offering loans starting from Rs. 20000/- to Rs. 5.00 Lakh. These loans are made available at reasonable rate of interest. Indian Economy will be more dynamic with the progress of small entrepreneurs. Bank continuously trains its employees and upgrades it technology to meet the ever-changing challenges. Kale also added that, along with employees, Bank is also looking after the interests of members, depositors & account holders.

Speaking during this occasion, revered Swami Govind Dev Giri Maharaj said that India was once a very prosperous country. Our ancestors knew how to create wealth and control expenditure. Cosmos Bank has done the same work for more than 100 years. Bank has boosted the self-confidence of common man. The nation is developing along with the progress of common man. The coming period will be golden period for India, stated Swami Govind Dev Giri Maharaj.

While welcoming the dignitaries Bank’s Managing Director, Mrs. Apekshita Thipsay informed the purpose of starting the new department. Bank’s Vice Chairman, CA Yashwant Kasar also expressed his views during the programme. All Directors, Executive and Staff were present on this occasion.
