Prakalpa Siddhi’ Women Bring Hope To
Pimpri: As the rain lashes down, , a MAVIM member of the Prakalpa Siddhi initiative, carefully navigates the streets of the Chikhali area. Her raincoat is soaked through, but she clutches a waterproof bag tightly, ensuring the precious documents inside remain dry. Her mobile phone, charging from a portable power bank, is her lifeline, guiding her to each beneficiary's home amidst network issues.
"The rain makes it challenging, but we can't let that stop us," says the member says, her voice resolute. "These families are counting on us. I start my work at 10 am and despite completing the rounds by 6 pm, sometimes beneficiaries do call to clear their doubts which could go up to 10 pm, but that is okay. I love to offer my assistance."
Amid a torrential downpour, around 300 women of the Prakalpa Siddhi initiative are on a mission. The dark skies heavy with rain and fluctuating power supply across many areas haven't deterred these determined women from offering assistance for the Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojna to those in need.
The Prakalpa Siddhi initiative, spearheaded by the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) with the help of MAVIM (Maharashtra Arthik Vikas Mahamandal), is not only streamlining property tax collection but also empowering women and transforming lives. Recently, this initiative has expanded its scope to include the Majhi Ladki Bahin scheme assistance, bringing convenience directly to the doorsteps of beneficiaries.
Delivering Hope
The volunteer arrives at the home of a resident (62) in Chikhali, who has been anxiously waiting for assistance. The resident's home is modest, and the rain has made it difficult for her to venture out. Sonali's arrival is a beacon of hope.
"I was worried about how I would manage the paperwork in this weather," the residents admits. "
A Community United
The efforts of MAVIM volunteera are not just about offering assistance for online form submission and documentation for the scheme; they are about delivering hope and support.
PCMC Commissioner Shekhar Singh praised their dedication, stating, "These women are the backbone of our initiative. Their commitment, even in adverse conditions, is proof of their strength and the importance of this scheme. They ensure that all eligible beneficiaries receive their rightful benefits. Their dedication is not just about fulfilling duties but about uplifting the entire community."
Singh added, "Special appreciation and credit go to all the MAVIM ladies, the zonal teams, the Aanganwadi sewikas, and other contributors. Their collective efforts and commitment have been instrumental in achieving this milestone."
Empowering Women, Strengthening Communities
The involvement of the Prakalpa Siddhi initiative has not only benefited the scheme's recipients but also the women delivering these services. Swati Deshmukh, a MAVIM member, shared her experience.
She said, "Being part of this initiative has given me a sense of purpose and independence. We are not just delivering services; we are building connections and making a difference in our community."
Real Stories, Real Impact
For many beneficiaries, this initiative has been a lifeline. Pushpa Mhetre, a resident of Bhosari, expressed her gratitude, "The women from MAVIM came to my house and helped me fill out the forms for the Majhi Ladki Bahin scheme. I was worried about the paperwork, but they made it so easy. This support means a lot to me and my family."
