Muralidhar Mohol, Answer Aam Aadmi’s Five Questions
Pune:Yesterday, many people criticized the BJP government on social media after a truck fell into a ditch near City Post. On this BJP's Muralidhar Mohol criticized that the opposition is defaming the city of Pune.
Now the Aam Aadmi Party has jumped into this debate and AAP spokesperson Mukund Kirdat has publicly appealed Muralidhar Mohol to answer five questions.
1) The President Murmu herself has expressed her displeasure over the pothole in Pune, so will you say that the President is also defaming Pune?
2) Pune city is a city of potholes, Pune city is a city of traffic jams, Pune city is a city of increasing pollution, Pune city is a city of Koyta Gang, a city of hooliganism.Who is responsible for this?
3) The issue of potholes and traffic jams has been around even before the discussion of ‘ Smart city’ started. Last month you had announced that all potholes would be repaired within 10 days, were those roads repaired?
4) In case of potholes on the road, it is practice to write in the contract that the contractor will be responsible for repair, maintainance for few years. So why PMC exempts contractors from work defect liability clauses?
5) In the last two-three years, the experience has come that when there is no intervention of corporators or politicians in the city administration, but the administration not doing anything better in Pune. Who controls the administration now? What does the triple engine government do in Pune?
As the Aam Aadmi Party has prepared to surround the BJP on the issue of aam admi (common citizen) of Pune, it is a matter of curiosity what position Muralidhar Mohol and the Guardian Minister Ajit Pawar takes on this.
