Pune: While the speech of Prime Minister Modi in his campaign meeting in Rajasthan is being criticized at the national level, NCP (SP) has also criticised the PM for the same.
NCP Sharad Pawar's Chief Spokesman Mahesh Tapase said that there can be nothing more unfortunate than the fact that a person sitting in the highest position of the country has to use the issue of Hindu Muslims for electoral gains.
Mr Tapase said that Prime Minister Modi, whose Government has completely failed on inflation, unemployment, farmers' problems and other issues, is making such statements out of desperate mentality only to cover up the failures of his own government and also because he is seeing defeat.
India has had many elections till date but no prime minister has made such low statement during any election campaign, he said.
"Modi ji the country belongs to everyone and the citizens of this country earn their living by their own hard work, hence you statement is completely wrong and unbecoming of a prime minister," said Tapase.
