MCCIA To Host Major Defence And Space Technology Event In Pune
Pune: The Mahratta Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture (MCCIA) will hold a landmark two-day event focused on defence and space technologies, to be held on August 29-30, 2024, at the MCCIA premises on SB Road, Pune.
This event will also serve to honour and celebrate India's achievements in space exploration, particularly the success of the Chandrayaan mission, stated a press release.
This event, supported by the MSME Development & Facilitation Office, Mumbai, will feature a CPSE Level Vendor Development Programme (29 Aug), an Exhibition of Products, and a high-level conference on 30 Aug, titled "Pune Def SpaceTech 2024: Bridging Defence and Space Technologies."
The event aims to:
Foster collaboration between MSMEs and major defence establishments
Showcase cutting-edge technologies in the defence and space sectors
Provide a platform for knowledge sharing and networking among industry
leaders, policymakers, and innovators
Commemorate India's space achievementsand explore synergies between
defence and space technologies

The event will feature:
An inaugural session with distinguished guests from defence and
government sectors on 29 August (10:30 to 12 noon)
A vendor development programme connecting MSMEs with major defence suppliers on 29 August (3 pm to 5:30 pm)
A high-level conference with sessions on policy frameworks, futuristic perspectives, and emerging technologies& an exclusive roundtable discussion on strategic topics on 30 August (10 am to 3 pm)
An exhibition showcasing products and innovations from over 35 companies (10 am to 6 pm on both days)
Notable speakers include senior officials from the Ministry of Defence, DRDO, defence PSUs, and leading private sector companies.
