Every day, new evidences are coming out in the Kalyaninagar car accident cases. After the case gained statewide traction, Pune police have also increased the pace of the investigation in the case. Two days ago, the Pune crime branch police detained two doctors from Sassoon hospital for allegedly tampering with the blood samples of the minor accused.

After this, the Maharashtra government took strict action against the Juvenile Justice Board (JJB) and its members, who granted bail to the minor accused within 15 hours of the accident. This decision of the JJB caused a great uproar amongst the people, and they started criticising the board's decision.

The Maharashtra government took note of the action and ordered the establishment of a committee to investigate whether the Juvenile Justice Board adhered to rules and regulations while hearing the case of the minor accused. The Commissioner of the State Women and Child Development Department, Prashant Naranware, gave orders in this regard today.

The committee is mandated to investigate whether the rules were followed by the members of the Juvenile Justice Board while hearing the plea of the accused. The government officials informed that the committee has been given a time period of one week and has to submit its report next week.

A five-member committee headed by the Deputy Commissioner of the State Women and Child Development Department will investigate Dr. L. N. Danavade, who granted bail to the minor within the 15 hours of the accident under extreme lenient conditions. Dr. Danavade asked the accused to write a 300-word essay on the accident, to take treatment from a psychiatrist, to assist the Yerawada police in regulating traffic for the next 15 days, and to help the victims next time if he sees any accidents on the road.

A huge public outcry erupted after this order, and the public demanded strict action against the members of the Juvenile Justice Board as well. Finally, the state government has formed a committee in this regard.
