Pune: On the 77th Birth Anniversary of 2D MJF Ln Haridas Nair, Members of Lions Club of Poona Nigdi came together and conducted activities to carry on his legacy to work selflessly for the Society recently.

Lions Club of Poona Nigdi distributed Grains Kit to house hold workers and also conducted a breast and cervical cancer screening in Ramnagar Chinchwad Area.

Members of Lions Club of Poona Nigdi contributed 20 Food grains kit to household workers.

Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening Program was taken up in Ramnagar, Chinchwad, a densely populated and resource-poor community. The mission was to provide free screenings to promote early detection and prevention of  cervical and Breast cancer.

A successful Screening of 55 ladies was conducted out of which two have been referred for further investigation for Mammography. 
For these activities President Manisha Gaikwad, secretary Rashmi Nair, Treasurer Vrushali Surwade, Zone Chairperson Meenanjali Mohite, Harsh Nair, Salim Shikalgar, Chandrashekhar Pawar, ex mayor R. S. Kumar, ex Corporator Vaishali Kalbhor were present.
