J G Patil Elect As President Of Badode Mitra Mandal
Pune: Dr. J.G. Patil is the present president of Badode Mitra Mandal and along with executive committee, recently formed is looking for major events by which these two cities will come closer.
Trustee, Rajendra Mahulkar, DR Prabhakar Joshi and Medha Godbole are the present Trustees and Atul Shah, Vice President, Achyut Yardi, Secretary, Nitin Parikh, Treasurer are active in making events like Makar Sankrant, Kite flying, Garbha etc.
H.H. Samarjeetsingh Gaikwad, present Prince of Baroda is supporting this activity and takes most interest in Pune-Baroda city cooperation.
Dr. J.G. Patil, President is working on making Pune-Baroda ‘Sister city’ concept.
Late Balaji Tambe, Chairman of ‘Aatmasantulan’ at Karla town near Lonavala was actively interested in all the programmes of the mandal. Dr. Malvika Tambe is also taking very active role in organizing medical camps to educate and treat the patients.
Dr. J.G. Patil has ambition to make Badode Mitra Mandal more effective for strong bonding, and to promote, practicing discipline and management practices that H.H. Sayajirao Gaikwad was very famous for. He was one of the most progressive king of his times.
High profile people like Padmabhushan Vijay Bhatkar, Scientist of international fame, has blessed this organization. Shri Shrinivas Sohoni (Retd) IAS, is looking after mega programmes to bring people of Baroda and Pune together.
HH Sayajirao Gaikwad Maharaj was known for his vision, mission and socio-economic development of Baroda in Gujarat state. Baroda city was known for educational hub, industrial town, socio-economic culture, and discipline of Princely State of India, and Royal family of H.H. Sayajirao Maharaj.
H.H. Sayajirao Maharaj made wonderful development and infrastructure of City of Baroda by constructing number of water dams, roads, educational institutions and promoted welfare activities for the citizens of state, and Rajratha G.K. Patil, Hon’ble Chief Engineer of state was more responsible for such infrastructure of development, which H.H. Sayajirao Maharaj was looking forward as one of the most advanced and developed state of those times.
Many high-profile people from Baroda are migrated to Pune as Baroda and Pune has got very good bonding in culture and social outlook. So, many people from Baroda who migrated from Baroda formed “Badode Mitra Mandal” to keep the tie between these two ongoing cities. Mandal was established in Pune on 31st July 1989 having more than 470 members who are busy in arranging the cultural programmes, tours, social get-together since last six decades, to keep the bond between Baroda and Pune city.
Pune and Baroda are known as cultural and social capital of Maharashtra and Gujarat.
Badode Mitral Mandal is mainly involved in exchange of social and cultural values through various programmes and events.
