Pune: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Chemical Engineering Department of School of Engineering Management and Research, DY Patil International University (DYPIU), Akurdi, Pune and Quadrogen Power Systems, Inc., Canada with an aim to promote collaboration in several areas including internship, technology development and research activities. Quadrogen is a leading Canadian clean technology company providing innovative and engineered solutions to serve its customers in the customized biogas cleanup and upgrading plants, hydrogen purification systems and carbon capture equipment markets.

Under this MoU, technical workshops, internships and research projects will be offered for both students and faculty which will open up new opportunities for projects and research in the degree course. This strategic MoU will assist students in pursuing cutting-edge technology and multidisciplinary projects, as well as developing innovations. Students have the chance to participate in industry-sponsored projects as part of their curriculum, which gives them hands-on experience dealing with real-world challenges and developing technical problem-solving abilities. During the agreement, industry specialists, faculty and students can collaborate on research projects, resulting in important advances and discoveries in the field of chemical engineering. Through this partnership, DYPIU will create a cutting-edge curriculum that will provide graduates with the necessary knowledge and skills.

The MoU was signed by Mr. Alakh Prasad, President and CEO of Quadrogen Power Systems, Inc., Canada and Prof. Prabhat Ranjan, Vice Chancellor of D Y Patil International University. Mr. Sandeep Nilakh, Mr. Rakesh Prasad, Mr. Sagar Bhamre and Mr. Nitin Banait of Quadrogen India Office, Dr. Anupama Patil, Director of School of Engineering Management and Research of DYPIU, Dr. Shailesh Ghodke, Head of Chemical Engineering Department, Dr. Utkarsh Maheshwari were present during the MoU signing ceremony.
