A Unique Celebration of Bhau Beej!  An Initiative by Snehdeep Jankalyan Foundation

Pune: On the occasion of Diwali, Snehdeep Jankalyan Foundation organized a special Bhau Beej celebration by distributing sarees to 200 widows, single women, and needy sisters, as well as new clothes for children and materials for Diwali snacks.

The event took place on October 24 at the Poona Merchants Chamber (Market Yard), with distinguished guests including Mr. Krishnakumar Goyal, Director of Kohinoor Development Corporation, Mr. Raikumar Nahar, President of the Poona Merchants Chamber, Dr. Prakash Bhandari, President of Snehdeep Jankalyan Foundation, and Mr. Praveen Bhandari, President of Sai Seva Sangh. The event was organized with the cooperation of the Poona Merchants Chamber.

While everyone else celebrates Diwali with lights and sweets, Snehdeep aimed to bring rays of joy to these overlooked families through this Bhau Beej program. Mr. Goyal was deeply moved by this noble work and extended his best wishes to Snehdeep’s team for their continued efforts, blessing all beneficiaries of the project.  

Snehdeep Jankalyan Foundation is a dedicated NGO working under the capable guidance of Dr. Prakash Bhandari for the past 38 years. The foundation focuses on health, education, and holistic development of children, youth, and women, along with broader social reforms. The foundation appealed to society for support in terms of physical, mental, and financial contributions, stated a press release.
