Cycling For A Cause: Finolex Industries Limited And MMF Lead The Charge In Deafblindness Awareness
Pune – Finolex Industries Limited, a leading player in the Indian PVC pipes and fittings industry, and its CSR partner, the Mukul Madhav Foundation, proudly announce their association as Title Sponsor of the 10th Edition of the SENSE International Cyclothon – Messengers on Cycles. This event aims to raise awareness about deafblindness and commemorate the birthday of Helen Keller, a pioneer in advocating for people with disabilities.

This year's cyclothon marks the 10th edition of the event and commemorates the 10th year of the enduring partnership between Finolex Industries and Mukul Madhav Foundation, highlighting a decade of impactful collaboration.
Since 2022, Finolex Industries and Mukul Madhav Foundation have been actively supporting SENSE India in Assam and Rajasthan. Recently, they signed an agreement to extend their support to Salem, Tamil Nadu. The program provides comprehensive rehabilitation and educational services for children and adults with deafblindness and multiple disabilities in Guwahati, Assam, and Sri Ganga Nagar, Rajasthan. In Salem, SENSE India aims to establish a specialized deafblind unit that will cater to the needs of individuals in the district and surrounding areas.
Currently, a total of 306 children are supported across these regions.
The involvement of Her Royal Highness Princess Anne, daughter of the late Queen Elizabeth, adds further prestige and support to these efforts.
Mukul Madhav Foundation has a strong tradition of promoting sports and wellness as part of its mission to support community development. The foundation has supported various cyclothons, marathons, and events featuring renowned sports personalities. These initiatives not only foster physical fitness but also bring communities together to support various social causes. The organisation has also extended support to the International differently-abled T-20 tournament, differently-abled para-athletes, and other sports and sportspeople, stated a press release.
