Pune: Baramati Lok Sabha Constituency has grabbed nationwide attention as Sunetra Pawar, wife of Ajit Pawar, contests against Supriya Sule, representing the NCP, marking a historic face-off between the Pawar family. The intensity of the election surges as allegations of money distribution surface, inciting tensions between political factions.

MLA Rohit Pawar, aligned with Sharad Pawar's group, accused Ajit Pawar's faction of monetary inducement, triggering a sharp response. Amidst this, State Women's Commission chairperson Rupali Chakankar finds herself embroiled in controversy for her unconventional actions on polling day.

Residing in Khadakwasala, Chakankar unauthorizedly entered a polling station on the voting day and started worshipping an EVM machine. Her act of worshipping the EVM machines sparked widespread debate and condemnation. The viral video of her actions prompts a police complaint, citing tampering with EVMs as a serious electoral offence.

As the video circulates on social media, Sinhagad Road Police Station registers a case against Chakankar, highlighting the gravity of tampering with electronic voting equipment. The Election Commission's response to this incident remains awaited, amid calls for stringent action against such misconduct.

Meanwhile, Ajit Pawar elevates the stakes in the battle for Baramati's seat, while individuals like Rupali Chakankar, tasked with leading campaigns, inadvertently exacerbate challenges for the Mahayuti Alliance through their controversial actions.
