Her act of worshipping the EVM machines sparked widespread debate and condemnation. The viral video of her actions prompts a police complaint, citing tampering with EVMs as a serious electoral offence.
As the video circulates on social media, Sinhagad Road Police Station registers a case against Chakankar, highlighting the gravity of tampering with electronic voting equipment. The Election Commission's response to this incident remains awaited, amid calls for stringent action against such misconduct.
