Comparing A Mass Iftar Party' With A Private 'family Ganesh Puja' Is Intellectual Bankruptcy: Cong

Pune: THE Maharashtra Congress State Spokesperson Gopaldada Tiwari today said Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the residence of the Chief Justice of India Mr. Chandrachud 'to celebrate Ganesha festival', the 'natural reaction on social media' is a sign that democracy is alive and well in the Republic of India.
Mr Tiwari further said, whether this 'Ganesha darshan and puja visit' was on the invitation of Chief Justice Shri Chandrachud or whether the Prime Minister himself went to his residence on the occasion of 'Ganesha festival' is not yet clear.
However, BJP leader and Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis immediately gave a 'politically motivated response' and compared it to a 'mass iftar party' breaking the Ramadan fast, not to a political party but to the "natural reaction on social media" on the "private" meeting of leaders in the highest constitutional positions of the country in this way. Congress has said that it has declared its intellectual bankruptcy by doing family 'Ganesh Puja'.
In a statement issued by the Congress, it h said that the comparison of the Iftar party with Ganesh Puja (breaking the Ramzan fast) is very illogical and unrelated, and Fadnavis is only trying unsuccessfully to inflame Hindu-Muslim hatred.
Mr Tiwari further said that, at the "Ramazan Breaking Iftar Party" held at the official residence of the then Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh in 2009, the then Leader of Opposition, senior BJP leader Advani, senior leaders of various parties, high-ranking officials were present and the event was held (in public domain) in a 'collective and open environment'. However, Modi devotee leader Fadnavis conveniently forgets to tell this, Mr Tiwari said.
The Congress also accused Fadnavis of making a reprehensible attempt to polarize the society and religion and trampling on the 'constitutional oath of impartiality' of the post of Home Minister. THE Congress has also demandes that the Supreme Court or the Governor take suo motu notice of this statement, State spokesperson Gopaldada Tiwari said.
Gopaldada further said that in Hinduism, 'Shri Ganesha is considered to be the inducer of intellect'. So why did the BJP refrain from taking Chief Justice Shri DY Chandrachud, who is a devotee of Shri Ganesha, into the "Election Commission selection process" as per the court order..? Didn't the Modi government believe in Mr. Chandrachud's 'fair role'..? Such an ironic question was asked by Congress spokesperson Gopaldada Tiwari in a statement.
