Hobbies Should Transform into Passion: Dr. Shrikant Kelkar

Pune:The English book "An Unpalatable Truth" written by Dr. Mehra Shrikhande and its Marathi translation "Ek Na Patnare Satya" were launched on October 13 at 10:30 AM at Hotel Lemon Tree (near Pune station). The book was unveiled by Dr. Shrikant Kelkar, founder of the National Institute of Ophthalmology, and its CEO Mrs. Aruna Kelkar. The Marathi translation of the English book was done by Ashok Shinde.

Dr. Shrikant Kelkar said, "Pune has a rich tradition of space observation and research. While many have a hobby of watching the sky, understanding the mysteries beyond is not easy. Without transforming a hobby into a passion, such creation cannot happen. This is a complex subject, and this book, which sheds light on it, is worth collecting. It should reach school-level readers."

Dr. Mehra Shrikhande shared her inspiration behind the book, saying, "Curiosity about what lies beyond our world is reflected in 'Ek Na Patnare Satya'. The book attempts to explore mysteries such as the Bermuda Triangle, underwater earthquakes, UFOs, alien phenomena, and unknown territories. From the mysterious Roswell incidents to the secrets of ancient Egypt, this book is filled with captivating stories and detailed research, raising questions about everything we think we know. Whether you're an experienced UFO enthusiast or simply curious about the unknown, this book will change your perspective and ignite your imagination," expressed Dr. Mehra Shrikhande.

Ashok Shinde said, "The subject of space exploration is rarely addressed in Marathi. Scientific topics should be written in a way that the common reader can understand. Curiosity about extraterrestrial life should be satisfied. Many ancient architectural structures on Earth still haven't revealed the advanced technology behind them. The next generation may possibly uncover these mysteries."

Mrs. Aruna Kelkar extended her best wishes through her speech. Several dignitaries, including publishers Snehal Shinde, Dilip Kamat, Mr. Poonawalla, I. M. Merchant, and Jagdish Shrikhande, were present. Kulsum Khan also expressed her thoughts. The book is available on Amazon Kindle, stated a press release.
