POPULAR Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was injured in an knife attack by a thief at his residence on the 12th floor in Mumbai area early this morning.

According to media reports, the thief entered his flat and had a scuffle with a servant of Khan. When Khan woke up after hearing the commotion, he tried to intervene. During this time, he was attacked by the thief. The thief, according to Leelavati hospital sources, attacked Khan six times. One of the attack was on his neck and back.

According to a statement by the hospital, Khan is undergoing a surgery as the injuries on his neck and back were serious.

Three of the servants of Khan have been taken in to custody by the Bandra police for investigation.
