Pune: In the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections, Supriya Sule defeated her sister-in-law and wife of Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, Sunetra Pawar, by a record-breaking margin of 1.5 lakh votes. In her victory, Baramati constituency provided her with the biggest lead, which has been considered a stronghold of Ajit Pawar in the last few years. Because of this, the cadre of Ajit Pawar supporters has received a great blow to their aspiration in Baramati.

However, after the victory of Supriya Sule, the confidence of supporters and activists has mounted to an all-time high. Today, NCP-SP party activists and office-bearers demanded Sharad Pawar to field Yugendra Pawar in the Baramati Legislative Assembly election. Therefore, there is a wider speculation in the political circles in the state about whether Sharad Pawar will once again allow the Pawar vs. Pawar battle to unfold in Baramati or if he will take a conciliatory approach in the Vidhan Sabha election.

Sharad Pawar is on his 3-day visit to Baramati to check on the drought-like situation there and understand the farmer's issues. In this regard, he called a meeting of his activists at his house at Govind Baugh in the morning. In that meeting, activists demanded the announcement of the candidature of Yugendra Pawar from Baramati against Deputy CM Ajit Pawar.

In this meeting, some people are seen demanding that they want to change the 'Dada' of Baramati. However, Sharad Pawar and Yugendra Pawar have not given any response to it yet.

Earlier, in the campaigning for the Lok Sabha election, Ajit Pawar mocked Yugendra Pawar for his premature political ambitions, but now it is anticipated that Baramati is set to once again witness a Pawar vs. Pawar battle.
