Ajit Pawar's Jan Sanman Yatra reaches Karmala: Deputy CM assures price-hike for sugarcane farmers, announces sugar factories to begin operations from November 15 in the region

Pune: Nationalist Congress Party President and Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar's ongoing Jan Sanman Yatra today received tremendous response in Karmala, Solapur. People from all sections of society, particularly women wearing pink turbans thronged in large numbers to welcome the Deputy CM in the area. He was accompanied by NCP State President Sunil Tatkare, President of the NCP state women's wing and Maharashtra Women Commission chairperson Rupali Chakankar and NCP state Youth wing president Suraj Chavan.

Mr. Pawar attended the foundation stone ceremony for several projects and highlighted that Karmala MLA Sanjaymama Shinde has done several developmental works in the constituency. Ajit Pawar said “Sanjaymama Shinde will contest the elections, and I urge you to support him.” The most funds for development in this constituency were secured during Sanjaymama Shinde’s tenure, added Pawar. He also said that Sanjay Shinde managed to secure several crores for the renovation and betterment of the Kamlabhavani Mata Mandir. Ajit Pawar took the blessings of Shri Kamlabhavani Mata before starting today’s event. 

Deputy Chief minister assured price-hike for sugarcane farmers and also announced that sugar factories will begin operations from November 15 in the region Mr. Pawar expressed his commitment to revitalizing the Adinath and Makai sugar factories, just as he had successfully transformed the Someshwar factory after taking it over in 1992. He also announced a ₹283 crore Integrated Tourism Development Plan, with ₹25 crore for religious tourism, ₹190 crore for water tourism and ₹19 crore for agricultural tourism in the area. The NCP President also highlighted work related to the ₹100 crore development plan for Pandharpur, which includes a four-storey building, a skywalk, and other amenities.  

He informed that the salary for Police Patils has been increased to ₹15,000, for Kotwals it has been increased to ₹15,000 , ₹10,000 for Asha Sevikas, and ₹10,000 for Anganwadi Sevikas. He informed the gathering that yesterday, the salaries of Sarpanch and Deputy Sarpanch were doubled.

He described himself as a practical man and pledged to listen to the people. The Deputy CM assured that the moment voters press the NCP button in the elections, funds would flow immediately for development. He urged the citizens to remember who worked for their welfare before casting their vote, requesting their support for his party and Mahayuti alliance. 

He added that the government has worked for all communities and religions together and showed respect to everyone. He also reaffirmed his commitment to make Maharashtra number one in the country, following the vision of Shahu, Phule and Ambedkar. In his speech, Ajit Pawar also criticised opposition over its double standards on Akshay Shinde’s encounter. He said he does not support what happened but also believes that such criminals do not deserve to live.

Talking about his government’s flagship Majhi Ladki Bahin scheme, Ajit Pawar said “those who have applied for the CM Majhi Ladki Bahin scheme but are yet to receive the benefits will get ₹4,500 for July, August, and September.” Pawar assured that the Mahayuti government is serious about delivering on its promises. Talking about the electricity bill waiver to over 44 lakh farmers, he said “within 15 days to a month, there would be no need to pay any electricity bills, past or future.”
